Barberries are another thing that I add to my daily SuperBowl. They are little, tart, dried berries that I buy in one-pound bags from Amazon.
Barberries have lots of health benefits. Actually, barberries and the active ingredient berberine, have so many health benefits, that you may think it's impossible. However the multiple double-blind, placebo-controlled studies, show that it is truly a superfood.

I add barberries to my SuperBowl. Some studies have shown that the actual fruit works better than taking a berberine supplement. As I study nutrition more and more, I'm learning that it's almost always better to eat the actual food instead of taking a supplement. It also usually much cheaper. Why pay extra for something that doesn't work as well?
