Ingredient 2: Ground Flaxseed

The second ingredient that always makes it into my SuperBowl is ground flaxseed.


The benefits from eating ground flaxseed daily are numerous and impressive. Flaxseed is one of those superfoods that has such a variety of benefits that it almost seems impossible. Daily flaxseed use is anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, fights cancer, lowers BMI, lowers LDL cholesterol, lowers high blood pressure, lowers heart disease risk, is a great source of beneficial soluble fiber, plant protein, and omega 3 fatty acids.


I get my flaxseed pre-ground in bags from Aldi. The daily cost works out to about 7 cents per day. If you look at the health benefits of this little, oily seed, you'll see that it's the biggest bargain at the grocery store. If your doctor told you that you could take a pill that costs 7 cents per day, and it would normalize your blood sugar, normalize your blood pressure, normalize your LDL cholesterol, lower your insulin resistance, help you lose weight, and offer several other life-exending benefits with no side effects, you would say sign me up. Well, flaxseeds are that life-saving product you've been looking for.
